In this pivotal role reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll oversee the entire production department, ensuring smooth scheduling and budgeting of print and gadget production across all projects.
As a key member of the management team, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our clients production processes.
Main Responsibilities:
Dive into the action with your own projects while overseeing the entire production department.
Work closely with Editorial and Marketing to bring new projects to life, sourcing top-notch suppliers when needed.
Daily liaison with Logistics and Distribution to keep operations running smoothly.
Connect with international counterparts to align strategies and share best practices.
Ensure competitive quotes from multiple suppliers for all our products. Develop and maintain schedules to guarantee timely launches and smooth distribution.
Stay up-to-date on safety legislation and ensure compliance across all products and to track and manage plastic and gadget consumption for recycling.
The ideal candidate will have experience in SME environments, showcasing their expertise in similar roles. They will exhibit exceptional organisational skills, ensuring smooth operations with meticulous attention to detail. Adaptability is crucial, as they must effectively manage multiple tasks and pivot when necessary. Advanced proficiency in Excel is required to efficiently handle numerical data and optimise processes.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effectively conveying messages and managing a member of staff and department success. Additionally, they will need to be proactive and driven, taking initiative to propel projects forward independently.
