My Product Path are exclusively partnered with a global automation machinery manufacturing organisation to recruit the Head of Product based in Wolverhampton. The company are a purpose driven organisation with safety at the heart of the organisation. They are SME business who are part of a FTSE 100 listed organisation.
The company is a truly global operation & are undergoing an impressive and sustained period of growth which makes this a really exciting opportunity in todays market place. The company manufactures safety switches & control systems which enable protection for those working in hazardous environments.
Head of Product Role role & responsibilities:
The Head of Product Management is responsible for leading the strategy, profitability, and growth of the product portfolio and managing a team of Product Managers supporting global markets. The right Head of Product will have experience leading Product Manager along with having a track record of producing commercially strong results aligned to the companies vision.
Responsibilities include:
Strategic planning and management of the entire global Product portfolio
Definition and alignment of Product portfolio vision, strategy, and roadmap in order to drive growth in the Machinery Safety market
Create and present new Product opportunities (including both new features and new products), strategic decision proposals, and business cases aligned with the companies purpose and strategic growth areas
Product & Market evaluation analysis, including VOC, competitor analysis, pricing, and value propositions (features, benefits, & unique selling proposals)
Collaborate with other departments to align and execute NPD launches, Product growth strategies, and Product line simplification
Represent the company in front of strategic customers, channel partners, and industry associations
Define & monitor relevant KPIs for PMs and track measures to achieve set objectives
P&L targets for PMs and ensure accurate tracking for the entire global business
Drive evolution & documentation of Product Management processes & discipline
Lead the Product Management team ensuring the team is motivated to achieve growth in their respective portfolios
Identify, develop, and promote high potential talent
Head of Product background:
University degree in relevant subject area, MBA preferred but not essential
Product Management & Leadership experience
Experience with safety switches, industrial access controls, or smart device products, exposure to the Machinery Safety market highly preferred but not essential
Strong technical aptitude with ability to develop working knowledge of industry standards
Experience working with distribution channel and multiple paths to market
Demonstrated business acumen and strategic capability
Ability to create strong relationships across the global organisation and lead through influence with a positive attitude
Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to simplify complex concepts.
Experience working across multiple regions and cultures; demonstrated global mindset
Package:
£80,000-90,000 basic + bonus
25 days holiday per year + bank holidays
Pension employer contribution up to 10.5%
