Typically for this role you will work 2-3 days per week on-site.The opportunity:Provide leadership and technical direction in the delivery of in-service support for our range of air-launched products covering both domestic and export customers with associated project budget accountabilities and responsibility for supporting business winning activities. Working with Customers, Customer Support, Engineering, Business & Project Management, Sales & Business Development, Major Equipment Procurement, Partners and Suppliers, the Head of Product Support - Air will maintain & evolve the support strategy, and plan and deliver comprehensive, cost effective, in service support for their product range. The delivery of this in service support capability is critical to system availability along with user capability/satisfaction and thus MBDA reputation.You are likely to be educated to technical degree standard or to have appropriate equivalent industry experience, and to have a good knowledge of the delivery of in-service support to the UK MoD and/or export customers. Experience of working in an international environment is also highly desirable.You will be leading a team of multi-skilled managers and support engineers working in a dynamic environment delivering for our in service customers and users, responding to issues and requests for help as they arise, as well as planning and implementing measures to ensure our ability to continue doing so until the out of service date for each system.What we're looking for from you: · Educated to technical degree standard or have appropriate equivalent industry experience· A good understanding and practical experience of UK In Service operational needs with the ability to see User, Procurer, and Supplier perspectives· Knowledge of relevant internal / external national and international standards, policies, and processes (e.g. DEF-STAN 00-60/00-600)· An ability to work in an international environment (customers, team members and suppliers)· Effective people management skills and leadership behaviours· A good understanding and working knowledge of support models utilised within the Aerospace and Defence domain.Our Business: We respect new perspectives and experiences, and we value our collaborative ways of working.
