Rate: £65000 - £85000 per annum, Benefits: Holiday package, additional benefitsType: PermanentHead of Product DevelopmentHead of Product Development, AutomotiveLocation: LoughboroughSalary - £85,000 per annum with additional benefitsWould you like to lead and shape the future of product development in Motive Clean tech?Would having a direct impact on applications of automotive technology in sustainable power solutions give you the career next step you are looking for?Key Responsibilities:- Lead the product development efforts within the Automotive Product development team- Oversee the technical development and integration of fuel cells for use in a wide range of automotive applications.- Lead a team that encompasses product development across different product ranges within the automotive sector, including passenger cars, commercial vehicles, buses, and trucks.- Provide technical direction and define roadmaps for product development, ensuring alignment with future projects and innovations.- Interface with OEMs and other external parties, requiring strong communication and negotiation skills to manage expectations and relationships effectively.What experience do I need:- Demonstrable Auto Product Development Experience: Proven track record in automotive product development, especially with electric and hybrid vehicles.Experience with the entire lifecycle from prototype to commercialization is essential.- Technical Leadership: Ability to provide clear technical direction and roadmap development.Must possess a deep understanding of both mechanical and electrical engineering principles.- Strong People Leadership: Experience leading and developing technical teams.Must be capable of nurturing talent and leading through technical leads to achieve project goals.- Innovative Thinking and Problem Solving: A degree of innovation is required to see the bigger picture and manage the deployment of automotive technology in new applications, such as stationary power units.- Excellent Communication and Stakeholder Management: Must be credible and confident in front of OEMs and senior management, with the ability to manage expectations and negotiate effectively.Qualifications:- Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field- A focus on product development within an automotive environment ideally with experience in hybrid, electric or fuel cell technologies considered a strong plusInterested?To apply for the Head of Product Development, here are your two options:1."This is the job for me!
