Have you got strong experience in working with regulation and be able to balance the need for being the negotiator with also needing to really understand regulatory changes? Got People leadership, my client has a team who needs coaching and development c15 heads.

This role has accountability to the Chief Operating Officer for the delivery of the Bank's Procurement agenda in line with the Bank's strategic objectives. It supports in setting, communicating and continuously improving procurement approaches, ensuring cross-Bank engagement/compliance. It is responsible for overseeing Bank supply chain and associated governance, ensuring it owns the Bank's relationships with its range of suppliers.

Strong Head of Procurement with good experience in technology procurement - working with large suppliers.

Strong commercial negotiator at all levels including exec./board level

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Develop and maintain successful working relationships with senior stakeholders across functions both internal and external to develop, successfully implement and optimise a procurement strategy.

Understand the Bank's risk management framework, how it applies to the role and ensure you are following the appropriate policy and procedures and that risks are managed and controlled (Mandatory accountability).

Responsible for Bank Procurement delivery including the management of operational risk through RFO accountability.

An active lead for Bank insurances including the management of operational risk through RFO accountability.

Play a lead role in the Supplier Governance process for the contract management of Bank outsource relationships.

Seeks to adapt methods to drive positive change to achieve the Bank's strategic objectives.

Ensure continuous improvement to all activities owned by the function and facilitate execution.

  • Implement the TPRM Policy and Framework requirements progressively across the supplier base of the bank.
  • Implement, oversee and coordinate the approvals process and policy requirements for all third parties classed as material using a risk segmentation process.
  • Provide scrutiny and act as a first line decision authority for third party services risk assessments, on-boarding and changes to existing services.
  • Implement the TPRM Operating Model and an end-to-end workflow processes to ensure the effective execution of Third Party Risk Management activities within the first line and across all stages of the TPRM lifecycle; including supplier on-boarding, segmentation, risk assessment, due diligence, and the linkage to procurement to support supplier RFP and selection, BCP and exit planning (for material / critical arrangements) prior to contracting, and exit & termination activities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum xxx years working within a procurement or supplier management senior role with overarching responsibility for procurement frameworks and policies.
  • Excellent understanding of Commercial contracts terms and conditions.
  • Clear evidence of previous experience in Procurement Category management.
  • Strong understanding of third party risk management.
  • Experience of working within a financial services or highly regulated industry.
  • Broad understanding of the current third party risk management environment and awareness of key developments in risk management best practice.
