Head of Pricing

We are committed to excellence and continuous improvement, and we're looking for a skilled professional to lead our Pricing and Proposition strategies.As the Head of Pricing and Proposition, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our competitive positioning in the market. You will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies that optimize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will lead the development of compelling product propositions that resonate with our target audience and drive business growth.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement pricing and promotion strategies as part of the broader customer proposition.Analyse trends and historical patterns internally and review competitors alongside the wider market.Operate a weekly, monthly and annual calendar to ensure our pricing strategy is responsive to supplier, competitor and customer trends and demands.Conduct financial analyses to assess the effectiveness of pricing and promotional strategies.Lead price elasticity assessments and overall opportunities to optimise sales and margin across the group and our product ranges.Regularly review product margins to identify skus below acceptable levels and recommend action.Implement appropriate pricing governance across the business.Support the sales team with pricing exercises for tenders.Support the team with technical training to develop their skills and identify knowledge gaps.Define appropriate pricing tools for our business.Support the broader commercial function, taking responsibility to ensure cost of goods, selling prices and all other product attributes are reflected correctly in all systems.Use your experience of pricing best practice to inform your decisions and to give your team the best opportunities to succeed.The ability to communicate complex subject matter in a succinct and clear way is important.You will be involved in cross department projects, so it is important to have an interest in wider activities across the business.Skills Required:Advanced analytical & Excel skillsFull understanding of all relevant SOPs within the quality manualDeep understanding of core processes and system interfacesAnalytical skillsAttention to Detail and AccuracyExperience Required:Experience of developing pricing strategy and managing pricing operations in a high sku count business.What Offer in Return:Discount portal including gym memberships, shopping and days outCompany pensionCompany sick pay, life assurance, and enhanced
