As the Head of People, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting and developing our client's diverse workforce across various departments. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the senior management team, the Head of People will be responsible for driving the People Strategic Plan, prioritising employee engagement, and aligning the volunteer force with business objectives.
You will have extensive experience in managing diverse teams across sectors and collaborating with Trade Unions. With a history of senior HR roles, you will excel in nurturing professional staff and adeptly communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Possessing a CIPD Level 7 membership or equivalent, you will demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and hold a deep understanding of HR management practices
You will be responsible for;
  • Develop and execute People and Resource strategy.
  • Oversee HR systems and performance management.
  • Establish a staff forum for engagement.
  • Champion change management initiatives and HR Policies.
  • Review and develop volunteering strategy.
  • Enhance communication with volunteers.
  • Collaborate on fundraising opportunities.
  • Lead volunteer development and competency initiatives.
  • Identify new volunteer sources and engagement opportunities.

You can shape your schedule to suit your needs, primarily based in Malton, North Yorkshire, with occasional travel to other sites required.
