Head of Payroll

We are working with an organisation in the education industry who are looking to hire a Head of Payroll to oversee the payroll and pensions function.

As Head of Payroll, you will report into the Director of Finance and will manage a small team of payrollers, with the support of the Deputy Payroll Manager.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and lead the payroll team
• Implement policies and procedures to streamline payroll processes
• Oversee pension scheme administration for LGPS, TPS & USS
• Implement new pension schemes
• Ensure compliance with requires payroll and pension legislation
• Provide advice and reporting to senior management

Experience required:

• Strong people management experience at Payroll Manager level
• Strong in house payroll experience
• Management of multiple pension schemes
• Experience of processing payroll within the education sector is desirable
• Experience of TPS, LGPS & USS pensions are desirable
• Resource link experience is desirable

This role will be office based 2 days per week.
