Overview:
The company specialises in protecting renewable energy-producing sites from cyber threats through a primary mixed-proxy firewall (inspecting network security) and a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform for full asset visibility.
As the Head of Operations for, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical
operations, optimising, and further developing value proposition to customers.
You will lead a talented team of professionals, from Field Engineers to Delivery Leads, enhancing the technical offering of the solution and streamlining delivery schedules whilst ensuring
continuity, security, and performance are managed from within an agile, ‘big picture’ mindset.
Essential Functions of
The Job:
• Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the operations
team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives with a focus on fostering a collaborative, innovative, and continuously improving culture.
• Service Delivery: Oversee the delivery of services to clients, ensuring adherence to
service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards.
• Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring the
delivery of high-quality services and maintaining strong relationships.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the operations team, encouraging feedback, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
• Operational Excellence: Develop and implement strategies to optimise operational efficiency, including process improvements, automation, and resource allocation.
• Performance Optimisation: Monitor and enhance the performance of applications, infrastructure,
and services to meet or exceed service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Incident Response: Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution efforts to minimise service disruptions.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks, implementing appropriate controls and
measures to protect client assets and data.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and partners, evaluating
performance and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reporting and analysis on operational performance, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
Skills Required:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar.
• CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC or CEH Certifications or similar
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
• Commercially astute.
• Excellent written, presentation and influencing skills.
• Excellent project & product management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders at all levels.
• Confident, credible, persuasive, and a collaborative team player.
• A history of collaboration, problem-solving and communication drives collective success.
Experience Required:
• 8+ years of hands-on cyber security operations experience with a focus on the OT environment.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices, particularly in
OT environments.
• Keen problem-solving and analytical mindset and excellent people and project management
skills.
• Experience working in a managed service provider (MSP) is highly desirable.
• Energy sector experience is highly desirable.
• Start-up experience is highly advantageous.
