Having worked withnotable industry leading companies in the automotive, aerospace and handsetmobile verticals amongst many others, Collabora has established a broadcustomer portfolio.Role Overview (accountability/responsibility):Strategic Planning: Work with other functions (Sales, Business Strategy Leads, Delivery,Finance and People Operations) in Collabora to predict and plan the teammembers’ profiles (number and skills) required to deliver clientsprojectsParticipate in strategic planning sessions and budgeting processes tosupport the team’s growth and performanceProject Allocation: Work with the Operations Manager and rest of the organization to:Assign suitable Open Source Software consultants to on-going projectswhile soft-booking others for up-coming projectsAssist Project Managers and Business Strategy Leads with Open SourceSoftware consultant selection by matching their skills to projectsMaintain a detailed and centralized team allocation plan to facilitateplanningResolve day to day conflicts based on commercial prioritiesDrive and maintain average utilization targets to deliver set businessgoalsMaintain a suitable pool of Open Source Software consultants to meet theneeds of Collabora and ensure that Collabora has the right mix of skills inthe right proportions: Recruit, outsource, contract, coordinate to meet strategic planneedsCarry out interviews/screenings of future Open Source SoftwareconsultantsHeadhunt and source candidates which would otherwise be out ofreachBuild an ecosystem of partners, agents, sole contractors who could beused to flex the organization at short notice or when commerciallyexpedientCreate a high performing Open Source Software consultants pool: Lead the People Leads to success in the management and development ofthe team:Support the People Leads in resolving performance issuesRetain and develop top-tier talent within the teamMaintain a high bar for individual and team performanceConflict managementCollaborate with other functions to carry out salary planningPromote Collabora ideals and valuesDevelop a career structure and paths that support the growth of teammembers and implement succession planning for the Business StrategyLeadsProviding training opportunities (On-The-Job or taught) to maintain theskill profile of the teamManage and align individual growth trajectories with team and businessobjectivesOwn and drive the annual review and promotion process, providinginsights and feedback to support career development within the teamFoster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotesopenness, collaboration, learning, feedback, knowledge sharing,accountability and technical excellenceAddress any conflicts or issues that arise within the team andfacilitate constructive resolutionCritical Success Factors: Able to prioritize and manage multiple critical functions for effectiveand efficient completion of tasks in a fast-paced environmentSmooth and consistent operations via implementation and design ofprocessesSuccessful development of a world-class, efficient and scalableteamCommercial skills and financially savvyUnderstanding of the intricacies of the software services industry(consultancies)Ability to work in a global context and remote environmentExperience/Skills: Understanding of Open Source, its value-add and position in thesoftware industryUnderstanding of Open Source engineers and communities, both motivationfor individual developers and interactions between projectsStrong understanding of software engineeringSuccessful track record in software development capacity andutilization planning in a dynamic environmentProven track record in driving for software engineering excellence andbest practicesAbility to manage globally distributed teams in a consultancyenvironmentCoaching experience and process development skills:Experience of fostering an inclusive and engaging team cultureProven experience of identifying, retaining, nurturing, and acquiringtop talentOutgoing and engaging individual who is effective at building goodworking relationships with all levels of the organizationGreat interpersonal skillsVery solid English language skills (both verbal and written)Ability to work and communicate in an online distributedenvironmentTagged as: remote, remote job, virtual, Virtual Job,virtual position, Work at Home, work from home
