As Head of Nursing you will be responsible for ensuring safe clinical practice across surgical pathways at all times, through the delivery of a clear set of clinical policies & procedures and oversight of clinicians.You will have the initiative, skill and experience to resolve concerns, and monitor/enforce compliance - ensuring that clinics adhere to company/clinic regulations.You will also be responsible for the management of stage 3 (legal and ISCAS) complaints for surgical clients., reviewing the Surgeon and Hospital's performance including infections, complaints and revision rates, and support function to initiate performance improvement plans.As part of your duties, you will be supporting brand reputation, engagement and supporting our strategy of increasing customer satisfaction and brand loyalty, through high medical standards and engagement of surgeons and hospital facilities.Additionally, you will assist with on-boarding surgeons, consultants and doctors and manage the surgical skills training for nurses.Key Responsibilities:Clinical:You will be responsible for ensuring all company policies and legal/governing body guidelines are reviewed and updated regularly and ensuring the business is kept up to date and informed of any new or developing risks as well as assessing the regulatory environment and ensuring any changes required are made and met.You will also oversee the safe management of incidents and Patient Safety Incidents, ensuring learnings are captured and accountabilities are distributed.You will collaborate with the Non-Surgical Lead, National Audit Manager and Head of Clinical Services to develop clinical audit cycles and PROMS as well as undertake Surgeon reviews with the Chief Medical Officer and organise Medical Advisory Committee meetings.You will support the Regional Managers and Clinic Managers with any performance management of nursing colleagues and lead quarterly Nurse meetings as well as support with second line nursing interview to provide competency checks, where required.You will also be responsible for acting as Safeguarding Lead and FTSU Guardian, offering support and guidance as and when appropriate.Operational:You will be the lead on the monthly Surgical Clinical Governance meetings and the quarterly IPC meeting which will include driving the completion of agreed actions and any pathways that arise out of meetings.
