Head of Music

The Barbican Centre in London seeks to appoint a full-time, permanent Head of Music. This position will collaborate with the Artistic Director to devise the artistic vision and strategy of the Music Department, working on local, national, and internationalscales.The ideal candidate will exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit to develop a new business model for increased income generation. They will manage all artistic, administrative, and technical facets of the Barbican Musicteam.Essential requirements include substantial experience in a senior management role within a major music or multi-disciplinary environment, track record of innovative music programming for a major venue, and familiarity with press and public relations media. Additionally, experience in collaboration with local and international stakeholders and strong financial/commercial acumen are vital.
