Responsibilities:
Spearhead the Music Department, providing visionary leadership and direction
Oversee the development and implementation of a rigorous and engaging Music curriculum across all key stages
Cultivate a vibrant and stimulating learning environment where students are encouraged to explore their musical talents
Inspire and mentor a talented team of Music Teachers, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional excellence
Supervise and manage the department's resources, ensuring the effective allocation of funds and equipment
Nurture a thriving extracurricular music program, offering opportunities for students to participate in performances, workshops, and competitions
Champion the integration of Music into the broader school curriculum, fostering cross-disciplinary learning
Establish and maintain strong relationships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their children's musical progress
Advocate for the importance of Music education within the school community and the wider educational landscape
Qualifications and Experience:
A Music-related degree or equivalent qualification
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Extensive experience teaching Music across KS3, KS4, and KS5 levels
Proven track record of excellence in leadership and management
A deep understanding of the latest advancements in Music education
An unwavering commitment to fostering a love of Music in all students
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
