Together, we are CAVURole and Responsibilities:Execution of M&A StrategyAssessing the competitive landscape, identifying new M&A opportunities, and managing from origination through to transaction and supporting integration – in line with the CAVU objectives and key results (OKR’s)Developing a deal pipeline by conducting industry research and cultivating relationships with external advisors (e.g. consulting firms, external lawyers, accountancy firms)Responsibility for Acquisition business case development and recommendationsManaging key stakeholder relationships with the CGO, VP Growth and the Executive Committee as appropriate and wider Finance and Legal function Reviewing/understanding/validating
target specific KPIsBuilding and conducting financial modelling, forecasts, and valuation analysis appraising viability/ROIPrepare Board Papers co-ordinating input from SMEs including synergies across capex/opex/revenue to inform investment case.Conduct post investment appraisals, with Finance Team support, to ensure business case benefits are realised and learnings captured.GovernanceProvide oversight through the establishment and leadership of PMO for transactionsKey contact and relationship management of Vendor and sell side AdvisorsAccountability for weekly Programme Board and fortnightly Exco Steerco’s including setting agenda and writing slides/reports collating inputs/progress updates from Workstream OwnersMaintenance of project plan and timetableCreation and ownership of Risk RegistersManaging information request list status and negotiating completion of requestsMaintain appropriate centralised and secure documentation, ensure smooth post contract handoverSupport and deliver in line with ESG initiativesReviewing DD reports and creation of action plans driving through to owners and close outOwn and write DD Executive SummaryCapture action and timelines for early synergy opportunities with business ownersEstablish a Business Continuity plan to address key business risksShaping post-acquisition planOwn and prepare overarching project Integration Plan capturing actioned required for first: 7/30/100 days and 12 months including resource requirements and reporting mechanismDefine detailed integration roadmap highlighting key milestones, required activities and accountabilities to ensure successful benefits realisationPrepare stakeholders for the start of the Integration PlanSet up reporting templates and project tracking for post-acquisition including business case benefit realisation and lessons learntEstablish basis for format and frequency of earn out period reporting and oversightWork with SME Workstream leads to develop and deliver integration planAbout You:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field; MBA / M&A qualification favourable.Substantial M&A strategy and transaction advisory experience, preferably in the travel or digital sectorsSolid knowledge of the M&A external trends and best practiceProven experience of developing business cases with a good working understanding of valuation modellingLeading end-to-end delivery of transaction activity through to implementation and integrationSound business acumen and judgment in areas of risk and uncertaintyExcellent communication skills – with experience of communication up to and including Executive Committees or similarHighly numerate with strong analytical, negotiation and communication skillsComfortable working in a fast-paced environmentStrong stakeholder management, listening, and influencing skillsWhat’s In It for You?The Perks:25 Days HolidayAnnual Bonus (Runs April annually)Options available through our salary sacrifice scheme;Bike to WorkFamily Fun Discount Card – save up to 60% on major attractions.Buy up to 35 days holiday.ED&I at CAVUWe are an equal opportunities employer.
