Diversity drives innovation and we offer an international and friendly work environment with an energetic company culture.Role: As the Head of Mechanical Engineering and R&D, you will play a critical role in leading and managing all technical aspects of our organization's mechanical engineering departments.Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and components across various projects, driving innovation, speed of execution, and ensuring quality and efficiency within the mechanical engineering team. This position requires strong leadership abilities, highly technical expertise and a proven track record of successfully delivering engineering projects from concept to production with very tight deadlines.You will lead a team of engineers, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and within budget, while also engaging in strategic planning, resource allocation, and maintaining high standards of engineering excellence. Experience in a highly complex engineering environment, on tight project deadlines across multiple departments is highly beneficial.Responsibilities:Leadership and Management: Provide guidance and direction to the engineering teams, oversee project execution, and manage resources efficiently to meet tight deadlines and deliver ahead of schedule as often as possible. Cross team coordination is essential to ensure a smooth product upgrade and introduction of new concepts.Technical Guidance: Offer expertise to solve complex challenges and ensure adherence to highest standards. Encourage new ideas and technologies to improve processes and products.Budgeting and Development: Manage budgets, support career growth, and build relationships with both external and internal stakeholders.Engineering Focus: Lead mechanical engineering and R&D teams, drive product development, testing and ensure highest engineering standards are upheld. Stay updated on industry trends, lead research initiatives, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.Cross-teams coordination: Manage project planning, execution, and delivery, coordinating with other departments and finding creative ways to deliver ahead of schedule. Multiple projects are required to run in parallel so an adaptable and flexible attitude is best suited.Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality standards, conduct testing, and analyze results for improvements.Required Qualifications:Experience:Proven experience (10+ years) in a leadership role within an engineering or product development environment, with experience in mechanical engineering and R&D.Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex engineering projects from concept to commercialization.Experience in a senior engineering role, with a track record of successful project management and team leadership.Technical Skills:Strong technical expertise in mechanical design, analysis, and manufacturing processes.Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion360) and other relevant engineering tools, with knowledge of simulation tools.Strong technical expertise in relevant engineering disciplines, with knowledge of industry standards and best practices.Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices in mechanical engineering and product development.Inherent motivation to deliver the best possible results in any environment.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving innovation and continuous improvement.Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or other professional data-management toolsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within established timelines and budget constraints.Proficiency in project management tools and software.Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for driving innovation in mechanical engineering.Proven track record of meeting tight delivery deadlines and finding ways for delivering ahead of schedule.BenefitsJoining our team and company isn't just about expertise; it's about embracing uncertainty with ambition.
