Head of Maths

We are seeking to appoint a talented, experienced and enthusiastic Head of Maths, who will lead the department of Maths teachers. This role will instil a love of Maths in pupils, deliver outstanding lessons which meet the needs of all children and promote excellence, whilst upholding the School’s ethos. In addition to being a Form Tutor, which will involve teaching Maths to his/her form group. You will engage fully in the wider life of the School, according to strengths.Applications should arrive no 9am on Friday 17th May. Interviews to be held on 22nd or 23rd May. High level classroom practitioner with a wide range of teaching skills
Ability to prepare pupils for 11+ academic entry at secondary schools and teach at 11+ scholarship level
High level inter-personal skills enabling effective team leadership
Ability to evaluate the work of others and enable their development through consultation, coaching and support
Ability to analyse data and information, identify patterns and trends
Ability to formulate strategies for improved learning as a result of the above.
