Head of MathsNational pay-scale L5-8Start date: September 2024We are seeking an ambitious and inspirational classroom practitioner to lead our Maths department.The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Leadership to develop standards and will have the drive and ability to lead and develop the curriculum and the quality of teaching. You will manage a team of subject specialists and will be accountable for high standards of student progress and implementing strategies for effective intervention.Suitable candidates do not require any previous Head of Department experience (all though this desirable).Maths is currently delivered by 7 teachers following the Pearson GCSE qualification which students begin in Y9 after a two-year mastery based KS3.
