We are looking for a full-time Head of Marketing to join our Marketing Team. Completed application forms should be sent electronically to ##### no later than 9am on Friday 10th May 2024.As we are committed to securing the right person, early applications may result in the early closing of the vacancy.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Creation and development of a marketing strategy that derives from the School’s Strategic Development Plan;Articulation and management of the Nottingham High School brand, acting as a brand custodian and ensuring that it is in keeping with the School’s vision and aims; Ensure that all staff are fully informed of the objectives of the Marketing Department and are equipped to act as effective ambassadors for the School;Responsibility for the design and production of the School’s marketing communication material and publications, including digital marketing;Management of the School’s advertising campaigns across a wide range of media, monitoring and responding to key market trends and media opportunities; utilising digital methods of advertisingRecommending and implementing tactical promotions and directing mail and digital campaigns, where appropriate.Management of the School’s social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Flickr, LinkedIn and YouTube; Management of communications with national and local press;Development and maintenance of the School’s website and digital newsletters;Conducting or commissioning market research to ensure that the School continues to develop in line with the expectations of its stakeholders;Managing the School’s relationship with its external marketing agencies and consultants, ensuring value for money and good working relationships;Managing Marketing events, both organising internal events and representing the School at external events;Supporting the Admissions and Partnership departments with ad-hoc projects as required. Line management of Marketing and Admissions Officer alongside Head of Admissions. Preparation and management of the Marketing and Admissions budget.Identification of and preparation for applications for National Awards such as the Times Education Awards. GeneralBe aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, behaviour management, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.Contribute to the overall ethos of the School.Any other duties that may be reasonably required within the grade and scope of the role.Person specificationEssentialStrong leadership, management and interpersonal skills;Independence, initiative, intelligence and commercial acumen;Highly creative ethos;Articulate and literate with the ability to persuade, influence and negotiate with others;Experience of leading and managing marketing and communications;Expertise in digital marketing and social media;Reliability: attention to detail; meeting tight deadlines and budgets; resilience in following projects through;Experience of building effective networks across internal departments;Experience of financial planning and managing budgets;A depth of knowledge of branding, image and style and recognition of how to use different media with different audiences;A willingness to place the School’s ethos and vision at the heart of any communication approach;A good honours degree or equivalent professional qualification.DesirableA detailed understanding of student recruitment activity and conversion activity;An understanding of the UK context in which the School operates;Ability to apply marketing principles internationally.Experience of working strategically, or on strategic projects with others.We are a School with a rich history dating back to 1513, we pride ourselves on developing happy, confident and driven students with a love of learning.
