It is a really exciting time for Stockport County, and If you're ready to make your mark in the world of sports marketing, this is the perfect opportunity for you.Position Overview:Stockport County is looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Marketing to spearhead the club's growth across all fronts. This pivotal role will be responsible for not only leading and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy, but also shaping the future of the club, including but not limited to boosting fan engagement, driving sales, and maximising revenue opportunities across all departments.Key Responsibilities:Marketing Strategy: Work with all the club's departments to lead, develop, and execute an innovative marketing strategy that aligns with the overarching business objectives and drives business growth. this includes Commercial and Ticketing, Edgeley Park Events, Retail, Community Trust, Academy, and Football Education.Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of seven talented marketing professionals to execute all club communications, campaigns, and content creation effectively.Drive sales: Boost sales across all departments through targeted marketing initiatives, including promotions, advertising, and partnerships.Enhance fan engagement: Oversee the creation of compelling content for digital and social media channels.Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry developments and emerging social media trends to ensure the club remains at the forefront of innovation.Communication: Oversee all club communications, and create tailored campaigns which aim to foster long-term fan loyalty.Key Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field.Proven experience in a senior marketing role, preferably within the sports or leisure industry.Minimum of five years experience in the marketing field.Whilst not mandatory, knowledge of football industry trends and fan engagement strategies would be a significant advantage.Proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics platforms.Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards common goals.How to apply:If this role is of interest, then please press the apply button and include a copy of your CV.We ask that applicants complete our diversity monitoring form.
