Job DescriptionCarter Murray is working in partnership with the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) to hire a Head of Marketing, Communications and Business Development into their Head Office in London. Reporting to the Director General, this role is an exciting key hire and integral to helping the LCIA to build on its market leading reputation to reach its full potential.Based in new offices within the IDRC in the City of London, the LCIA is one of the world’s leading arbitral institutions, assisting in the administration of international arbitration cases, mediations, and other forms of ADR, and is a membership organisation with over 10,000 individual and corporate members from more than 80 countries. The LCIA conducts a program of conferences, seminars, and events for its members and the international arbitration community.Due to the considerable growth in the use of arbitration and other forms of ADR as a means of resolving cross border disputes, there has been an increase in demand for the LCIA’s services. The LCIA is now looking to hire a dynamic, experienced and innovative specialist to lead their marketing, communications, and business development team.This is a new position for the organisation and the successful candidate will manage a significant budget and an experienced and high performing team, while at the same time developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing and business development strategy aligned to the LCIA’s short and long term goals.The role will include;Planning and implementing all the LCIA’s marketing, business development and communications activities, to support its membership, to promote revenue generation and to increase the LCIA’s profile.Creating and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the LCIA’s goals.Leading the planning and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns, both online and offline.Maximising the value and impact of the LCIA’s website and developing a comprehensive digital and social media strategy.Reviewing and improving the LCIA’s membership programme to enhance member experience.The ideal candidate will have direct experience leading marketing within the legal industry (preferably within international arbitration), a related degree (or equivalent) and a proven background of developing and delivering successful marketing and business development strategies. Due to the high profile nature of the role, communication, both written and oral, is key as is the ability to work in a fast-paced but collegial environment and to manage a multi-faceted team.
