The global racing enterprise boasts over 250 race wins, four INDYCAR Series championships, five INDY NXT titles, one Indy Pro 2000 and one USF2000 championship, and has captured victory five times at the famed Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. The team is now looking to expand into the pinnacle of motorsport through our Andretti Cadillac Team.Job description:We have an opportunity for a highly experienced Head of Manufacturing to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role you will be responsible for leading our multi-disciplined manufacturing teams, resources, processes and systems. As a start up facility, you will need to have the vision and knowledge to build an extremely agile, modern and capable manufacturing environment. Team members are encouraged to challenge established thinking and share their ideas to create an environment where everyone can contribute to our shared success.Principal Accountabilities:Develop our manufacturing capabilities and processes, supporting the company manufacturing strategyDevelop and lead a multi-skilled manufacturing team supporting the planning and prioritisation of work, performance and resourcesDefine manufacturing new projectsLead the continual improvement of the company’s manufacturing functions to deliver the highest quality products as efficiently as possibleWork with the procurement team on manufacturing supplier agreementsDevelop the processes to support the quick make/buy decisionsIn conjunction with the Head of Quality develop an agile and effective manufacturing quality system with implementation of the necessary controlsDevelop and manage manufacturing KPIs to drive performanceResearch and investigate new manufacturing methods and technologiesDevelop a thorough working knowledge of the company’s ERP system and be a champion for its ongoing developmentEnsure all the manufacturing functions operate in accordance to the company’s Health and Safety policiesRequirementsExtensive experience in a fast-pace manufacturing environment, ideally in high level MotorsportSignificant in depth knowledge of motorsports manufacturing methods and assemblies, particularly compositesProven experience of leading, inspiring and developing high performing manufacturing teams in a demanding environment,Proven experience of driving change and developing manufacturing processesA high level of computer literacyExcellent attention to detail with the ability to produce high quality work whilst working under pressureWell organised and delivery focused with the ability to prioritise in a demanding environmentProven driven and open minded approach to process innovationCommunicate effectively with key stakeholdersClear and concise communication, verbally and with the use of emailPrevious experience of MS applications including Outlook, Teams and ExcelFlexible attitude with the ability to work within a team in a high pressure rapidly changing environmentPositively contribute to an open and inclusive culturePlease be aware that we will be reviewing applicants on a rolling basis and this job posting will close once a suitable candidate is identified.
