Job Title: Head of Manufacturing Engineering Location:Barrow-in-FurnessSalary:£80k+ depending on skills and experience plus executive level benefits and relocation package availableWhat you'll be doing:Acting as the primary point of delegated authority from the Head of Manufacturing Engineering Function to the Future Submarine programme Manufacturing Engineering TeamsEmbedding Manufacturing Engineering best practice in a multi-discipline team on an international programmeInterfacing between Engineering and Manufacturing to facilitate a design that is optimised for buildWorking internationally to share processes and technology in support of the programmeResponsible for the strategic development, engineering excellence and maintenance of the Line of Business Manufacturing Engineering discipline, covering the development and sustainment of professional standards for engineering resource, processes and toolsets and manufacturing technologiesYour skills and experiences:Masters qualification in Manufacturing Engineering or other engineering discipline. Chartership or recognised ability to obtain it, with a recognised engineering instituteUnderstanding of product life cycle in a complex engineering backgroundDemonstrated experience applying Manufacturing Engineering best practice in a large businessDemonstrated experience in developing new processes in complex environmentsExperience holding and cascading Engineering Delegation of AuthorityExperience of leading and setting up international teamsDemonstrated experience and success in developing new processesExperience of international technology and process transferKnowledge of APQP manufacturing processes is advantageous and desirableBenefits:You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
