To sustain and underpin our growth, we are investing over £25 million in our new 5-acre site, which includes state of the art machinery and automated production lines, as we understand that our manufacturing and logistics infrastructure is critical to our future success.To inspire and lead our operational teams, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivational, and dynamic people leader and manager to join our senior leadership team to become our Head of Manufacturing and Operations, where you will set, communicate, and realise the Manufacturing and Logistics Department vision. Our successful applicant will drive the operational changes and team building needed to achieve our business goals in this strategic and business critical role. If you are passionate about developing your people, bringing teams together, driving business transformation, and delivering continuous improvement, our role could be just what you are looking for.Our Head of Manufacturing and Operations will be:• Operationally responsible for our new highly automated manufacturing and logistics site, and taking it to full working efficiency• Setting, communicating, and driving the department vision• Leading from the front, hands on and nurturing a positive and open culture across your team• Setting and agreeing individual and team SMART objectives• Carrying out regular one to ones and team reviews• Inspiring and motivating your team to achieve department performance against agreed key performance indicators, celebrating success• Capacity planning• Reporting to key stakeholders• Preparing annual budgets and proposing capital and operational expenditure• Working collaboratively with your Direct Reports, Operations Director, and Senior Leaders• Developing a culture which supports lean management and continuous improvement• And much moreWhat our Head of Manufacturing and Operations will bring:• Experience in an automated manufacturing production environment• Proven ability to lead, inspire and manage teams• Experience in successfully coaching and developing operations talent• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate• A strong desire to drive and implement change, with a willingness to challenge the status quo• A high level of self-motivation and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment• Project management experience• Knowledge of quality principles, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement, such as Kaizen, visual management, OEE, SMED,Six Sigma• IOSH/NEBOSH certificate• A thorough understanding of manufacturing and warehousing principles and processes• Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject (desirable)• A formal Leadership and Management qualification (desirable)What we can offer our Head of Manufacturing and Operations :• Competitive salary, we would love to have a chat about your experience and salary expectations• Permanent contract of employment• A varied and autonomous role with a financially stable market leader• Companywide training programme to develop key skills• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays• Non-contributory; private health care and critical illness cover• Generous contributory pension scheme• Life insurance at three times salary• Employee assistance programme• Staff purchase scheme – take home products for FREEApply todayIf you are looking for a varied and exciting role, an opportunity to make a difference and a career with a market leading, rapidly growing business, we'd love to hear from you.
