Job Description***We are partnering exclusively with a leading city law firm to help build their newly formed Innovation Function***My client are delighted to now be forming their new Advanced Client Solutions (ACS) team. The team will be working with lawyers and business services in all areas to turn the firm into one of the most demonstrably forward-thinking law firms in the city by the end of 2025. Once at capacity, the function will be 18 people and will be made up of the following teams. Legal Project ManagementProcess ImprovementAlternative DeliveryLegal TechnologySolution DevelopmentThe Head of LPM will report directly into the Director of Advanced Client Solutions, and will oversee a team of 4 Legal Project Managers, 1 Process Improvement Manager, as well as the Alternative Delivery (Paralegal) team.Role Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of LPM strategies and processes across all practice areas, ensuring they align with the firm's objectives;Oversee a team of Legal Project Managers and the Alternative Delivery team lead, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality matter delivery within budget and time constraints;Collaborate with senior partners and stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation in the delivery of legal services;Ensure the integration of the firm’s portfolio of legal technology tools to enhance efficiency of matters you are part of;Monitor team performance, using key metrics to assess progress against objectives, financial budgets, and client/lawyer satisfaction, adapting strategies as necessary;Champion the firm's commitment to Advanced Client Solutions, ensuring that all matters are client-focused and deliver value beyond expectations;Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice within the team and across the firm, including updates on LPM trends and regulatory changes;Manage the legal project management budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and costs are controlled;Enhance the firm's competitive position by implementing innovative project management solutions that address the unique challenges of the UK legal market;Comply with all relevant legal and regulatory obligations including the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Standards and Regulations, and Principles.Person SpecificationProven experience of legal project management in a law firm setting;An LPM specific, or PMQ qualification is essential;Line management experience;Strong communication and influencing skills and experience of working with senior stakeholders across an international business;Ability to collaborate effectively, professionally, and diplomatically across departments.
