Head of Legal & Compliance Officer – UK, Ireland & Nordics
Location: Maidenhead – 1-2 days per week required in the office
Salary: £80,000 – £120,000 per annum
We are working with a global Pharmaceutical giant and they are looking for a Head of Legal & Compliance Officer to join their team to help support their operations in the UK, Ireland and Nordic countries.
Purpose of the role:
To provide the international cluster with Compliance & Legal advice in accordance with laws, pharmaceutical codes and internal regulations. Manage the Compliance & Responsibility program in UKINOR (UK, IRE & NORD) and contribute to relevant global initiatives.
Main Responsibilities:
Strategic Responsibilities:
·
Manage the further implementation of the Compliance and Responsibility program for UKINOR.
·
Represent Legal & Compliance in the cluster leadership team for UKINOR, local boards and cross functional teams and provide strategic input.
Operational Responsibilities:
·
Set up processes to control and monitor that activities are in line with regulations and pharmaceutical codes including the establishment of adequate internal controls for identified risks.
·
Plan and supervise the implementation of the local trainings for Legal, Compliance and Responsibility.
·
Manage processes to be able to provide regular updates on non-financial metrics to global responsibility.
·
Draft, review and negotiate contracts.
·
Manage court actions and, if necessary, engage and coordinate external lawyers as needed.
·
Oversea the digitalisation of contracts and their proper distribution within the company.
·
Manage potential non-compliance incidents including internal investigations.
·
Act as the Data Protection Officer for UKINOR, implement local data privacy program and provide solution-oriented legal advice to internal clients on data privacy topics.

Coordinate all local initiatives and efforts in the area of Digital Ethics.
Professional Experience and Qualifications:
·
Master’s Degree in Law
·
Excellent subject matter expertise in the areas of Legal, Compliance, Ethics, Governance and Corporate.
·
At least 5 years’ experience as a Compliance or Legal professional in the pharmaceutical industry.
·
Knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical devices law, unfair competition and IP-law and corporate law.
·
Knowledge of relevant pharmaceutical market in the UK.
