T2M Resourcing are currently working with a growing manufacturer, recruiting for a Head of IT to join their senior leadership team. The business has multiple sites in the UK and abroad which feature manufacturing, engineering, and software development.
As Head of IT, you will drive the IT, cyber security, and software roadmap and strategy as well as leading the team to deliver against key objectives for the Group.
Duties as Head of IT:
Manage and lead a team of support and infrastructure engineers.
Design, develop, and deliver the information technology roadmap.
Report to the senior leadership team on IT projects, risks, and future opportunities.
Liaise with internal stakeholders on IT and software application requirements.
Project manage systems updates and rollouts.
Identify new technologies to support the business in achieving its goals.
Work with third-party suppliers to ensure fit for purpose, reliable services, and value.
Set and manage the information technology budget.
Monitor cyber security threats and put in place proactive responses.
Requirements to be successful as Head of IT:
Degree or similar level qualification in Computing & IT, Cyber Security, or Business Information Systems.
Experience leading the IT function of an engineering/manufacturing business.
Broad knowledge of information technology and security.
Clear and confident communicator, able to present to board/exec level.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Management and leadership qualities, able to mentor and support other staff.
This role is based in the South of the UK however will also require some travel in the UK, therefore a UK driving license is essential.
