Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head of Infrastructure to lead our infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure management, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud services. They will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement IT infrastructure strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company's business objectives.
Lead a team of infrastructure professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure, including network management, server administration, and storage maintenance.
Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and ensure that the infrastructure supports those requirements.
Evaluate new technologies and solutions to improve the efficiency, performance, and security of the infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget, including forecasting and cost optimization initiatives.
Monitor infrastructure performance and security, and implement measures to mitigate risks and address issues.
Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including regular testing and updates.
Serve as a technical advisor to senior management on infrastructure-related matters.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong technical skills in networking, server administration, storage management, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.).
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
Knowledge of ITIL and/or other IT service management frameworks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strong leadership and team-building abilities, with a track record of motivating and developing high-performing teams.
Proven ability to manage complex projects and initiatives, from planning through execution and evaluation.
Experience in the implementation and management of security best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE, ITIL, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus.
