Head of Internal Sales
Based Carlise + UK Travel,
Full-time / Permanent

Specifically, some responsibilities for Head of Internal Sales include:
Reporting to the Group Sales Director, this is a senior level post responsible for managing, steering, developing, expanding and enhancing the role of our multiple customer service centre operations. Working with key departments across the Group, you’ll relish this exciting opportunity to oversee the smooth running of our customer service / internal sales function, whilst helping drive further, successful, and profitable growth of an already well developed, market leading business.
This will involve:
Managing our Customer Service and Key Account Managers, setting performance standards for the team and ensuring they have the product knowledge to capitalise on all sales opportunities.
Developing a customer contact strategy and providing general support to the external and internal sales teams in the handling of customer complaints and any other enquiries.
Overseeing the issue of credit notes to customers
The development and implementation of clear procedural guidelines and authority levels.
Maintaining accurate customer records and implementing a customer satisfaction measurement system, as well as analysing and reporting on service levels, product delivery and complaints.
About you:
Accustomed to leading by example and capable of overseeing and managing the work of remote teams at separate locations, you should be an experienced sales professional, who can demonstrate:
A proven track record of operating in a similar capacity, successfully managing change and leading internal sales teams in the pursuit of challenging targets and deadlines.
The ability to train, coach and motivate on both a team and individual basis, combined with excellent communication, problem solving and organisation skills.
A good degree of technical know- how, evidenced by a practical knowledge of relevant systems, including Salesforce CRM, Integrated VOIP telephony and ERP, as well as Excel to a high level.
Candidates must hold a Full Driving License as the role requires travel to sites throughout the UK.
