The Great Central Railway is a unique heritage asset, situated in the heart of the country. Largely run by volunteers, operating the only double track main line steam railway in the country, we exist to educate, entertain and to add value to the communities we are part of.Are you an experienced engineer or project manager looking for a great challenge, with a rewarding purpose? You will be leading a team of paid and volunteer staff, responsible for the care, maintenance, restoration, and development of the physical infrastructure of our heritage railway.You will be caring for some of our greatest assets – our track, bridges, signalling and buildings, ensuring that they are safe, secure, and preserved for the next generations.Having a passion for managing infrastructure, either as an engineer in a relevant discipline or in project management is essential, if you have a love for railways, even better!We would love to hear from you if you’re highly motivated and looking for a challenging, rewarding career. Location: Loughborough.Salary: £35K - £47.5K depending on experience (based on 37.5 hrs)Hours: 30-37.5 per weekClosing date: The closing date for this post is Tuesday 7th July 2023.
