Head of Human Resources

Job DescriptionOur client is looking for an experienced HR professional to head up their operational HR team consisting of HR Business Partners and Advisors. The role reports to the HR Director and has overall responsibility for a broad range of HR responsibilities including Employee Relations, managing the relationship with the Union, Organisational Design, Change Management and other ad hoc project work. There are centres of excellence for Recruitment and Learning and Development that you would work with but not directly manage. You will need to have a level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent experience and have significant expertise in the management of complex ER cases and managing industrial relations. You will also have previously designed change programmes. Ideally, you will have managed a team or an individual but this role could consider someone stepping up from a HR Business Partner role. There will be an expectation to be on site either in Manchester or another site 2 / 3 days a week.This is an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to progress in a leadership role.
