The Role

Are you equipped with a deep understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practices, ensuring compliance and effective people management? Can you demonstrate a strategic mindset, coupled with a hands-on approach, to deliver HR initiatives aligned with business goals and values? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

As the Head of Human Resources, the successful candidate is a strategic leader, HR expert, and advocate for employees. Your role is multifaceted, encompassing everything from talent management and employee relations to compliance and organisational development. Your impact is felt across the entire organization, shaping its culture, driving performance, and ensuring its long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide proactive HR support aligned with our business and People Strategy.
  • Offer effective employee relations support to foster engagement and empowerment.
  • Deliver insightful management information to inform strategic decisions.
  • Manage sickness absence and champion wellbeing initiatives.
  • Cultivate a diverse and inclusive working environment.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes.
  • Drive employee engagement surveys to promote continuous improvement.
  • Manage company benefits and ensure compliance with GDPR.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver HR updates and communications.

The Person


  • Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practices, ideally CIPD Level 5 qualified.
  • Proactive and structured approach with excellent project management skills.
  • Previous experience as an HR Manager or similar role.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Resilient and adept at advising on people management issues.
  • Numerically proficient with a keen eye for detail.
  • Natural influencer with a track record of driving change.
