Job DescriptionWe are a group of companies delivering commercially focused legal advice and solutions, HR support, wellbeing and training, mediation, and dispute resolution services to a variety of clients. The exciting part is it doesn’t stop there as we are constantly developing new products and services to meet our clients’ needs and as a business we are growing!We’re looking for an exceptional HR Consultant and people leader to lead our team of HR Consultants. People are our business- we provide a one stop shop to employers providing employment and business law advice, HR support, Training and Wellbeing solutions. Our clients are from a wide variety of industries and from the private and not-for-profit sectors. In addition to overseeing a portfolio of client relationships and services and managing and developing our team of experienced HR Consultants, the role will involve working with our Finance and Support teams to ensure that effective and efficient business processes are followed. The role will also involve developing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and working with marketing and the Managing Director of Loch HR, Training and Wellbeing to help grow and develop our client base. This also involves working with our team of employment lawyers to look for opportunities to provide ‘joined up’ and holistic employment support to our clients.Main responsibilities for the role:HR Consultancy and client engagementOwning and developing a portfolio of client relationships, proactively engaging with clients and identifying their needs and services that we can offer to them (across the whole Loch Group) as well as responding to enquiries and requests in line with our agreed service levels.Providing expert HR input and guidance to clients across the whole HR spectrumIdentifying trends in the wider HR and business world, as well as within our client base, and using these to help focus our range of services and our marketing on addressing key business issues.Ensuring that client ‘onboarding’ is effective and engaging and that clients have a good understanding of our services.Monitoring levels of client engagement and satisfaction and implementingTeam LeadershipUnderstanding and overseeing delivery of the Loch HR consultancy model, including our HR retainer services and ‘value add’ project workDelegating and overseeing a team of HR Consultants to deliver services to their client group- ensuring high quality, value for money services that lead to long term client relationships and partnershipsActing as a point of escalation for complex HR matters and supporting the team with technical HR queries and developing client relationshipsEnsuring excellent HR service delivery and instilling a culture of ‘win it’, ‘do it’, ‘get paid for it’Instilling and overseeing effective processes and systems for recording client work undertaken, accurate record keeping and briefings/ handovers.Creating a high-performance team environment where collaboration, respect and fun are at the centre of what we doSupporting the HR Consultancy team to develop their skills and knowledge to continue to provide excellent consultancy services and create an environment of continuous feedback, development and learningInternal People and CultureLine Manage Loch Associates’ People Lead to deliver excellent people services to our staff- including recruitment and selection, induction and onboarding, pay and benefits and people development.Lead a project to review and ‘bring to life’ our organisational values and behaviours and align our approach to employee engagement, people development and performance managementSKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Excellent knowledge of the whole spectrum of employment law and HR good practiceExperience of delivering high quality HR ConsultancyExperience of managing a team of HR ProfessionalsExperience of, and appetite for, networking and business developmentMCIPD qualifiedStrong HR generalist background with experience of handling complex ER casesStrong relationship building skills with the ability to coach and influence a variety of people at all levels of a businessWork experience across more than one sectorExcellent business acumen and an understanding of commercial decision makingExcellent report writing skillsDemonstrable understanding of approaches to customer relationship management and use of related systemsExcellent listening and coaching skillsAbility to work as part of a team of Senior ManagersAbility to juggle conflicting prioritiesEvidence of using initiative to identify issues and present a variety of solutions to the clientIn return we can offer you supportive and friendly work colleagues at our offices based in Tunbridge Wells and Eastbourne.
