Job Title: Head of Housing
Location: Remote
Our Client is looking to recruit for a Head of Housing on 6 Month FTC, they are seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Housing to lead our housing management services. This role is crucial in ensuring the financial viability, operational efficiency, and overall success of our housing schemes. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with managing agents and will drive continuous improvement across all aspects of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all housing management services, including planning, controlling, and deploying financial, staffing, and physical resources.
  • Lead and manage the operational team with a strong emphasis on occupancy, customer satisfaction, and property standards.
  • Manage rental income and housing benefit payments, ensuring financial control and compliance with internal procedures.
  • Act as the named health and safety officer, leading all health and safety initiatives.
  • Maintain and improve service quality through extensive interaction with managing agents and housing providers.
  • Develop and maintain policies, records, and practices to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Build and nurture positive relationships with stakeholders, including landlords, local authorities, and charity partners.
  • Contribute to the overall strategy and risk management of the association.
  • Prepare and present quarterly reports to the Chair and Board on operational matters and key performance indicators.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and growth in line with strategic priorities.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven experience in housing management, with a strong background in working with managing agents.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
