Head of Housing Management
Tamil Community Housing Association (TCHA) seeks an experienced housing manager to join the Association at an exciting time in its history.
TCHA is a community-centric 600 home housing association that works across more than a dozen local authority areas in London. Originally set up to cater for the needs of Tamil refugees who relocated to London, we now house a diverse and vibrant tenant group and strive to provide high quality affordable homes and services. Following our recent growth we have a new opportunity for a suitably skilled and experience housing professional to join the team and lead our housing management service and the housing team. The post is part of TCHA’s senior management team and sits alongside a Head of Property Services and Finance and Resources Manager all of whom report to the Chief Executive.
We have grown significantly during the last twelve months, this being the consequence of our accepting a transfer of engagements from another registered provider in August 2023. We now provide services to more than 600 households including a significant portfolio of managed stock in addition to the homes we own.
You will likely be a successful, versatile senior level housing professional already working in the sector or in a related profession and are thinking about making the step up to a first or more substantial management role. You will need excellent knowledge of the management of housing association real estate but your personal qualities, values and capacity to learn are of equal if not more importance to us. Your versatility will be key and you will have the capacity to deal with varied aspects of the job including tenancy enforcement, cash collection, anti-social behaviour and working with and involving tenants. To be successful in the role you will have a genuine desire to make a different to the lives of our customers.
