JOB TITLE: Head of Group Cost and Conduct SALARY: £111,469 - £131,140LOCATION(S): London or Edinburgh HOURS: Full timeWORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in our Edinburgh or London office About this opportunityWe have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Finance Professional to join us as Head of Group Cost and Conduct. This exciting role offers the opportunity to be at the heart of the finance community providing analysis, insight and strategic direction to a range of senior stakeholders. Reporting to the Group Financial Planning & Analysis Finance Director, this role is responsible for the leadership of a team of c.20 finance professionals providing analysis and insight on all elements of Costs, Resources, Reward and remediation items. For these key areas the role scope includes: playing a key role in the Group's forecasting and budgeting/planning process; developing and preparing monthly performance reporting as part of broader Group Executive Committee and Board reporting as well as presentation to Group Cost Management Committee; analysis and accounting judgment to Audit Committee on Group Remediation items; partnering the Reward team; and supporting external reporting of Group results. Day to day you'll be;Leading the Group Cost and Conduct team by using your expertise to produce analysis and insights for senior management including the Group Financial Controller, CFO, CEO and the Board.Compiling and analysing datasets and financial management information, to drive a deep and detailed understanding of business drivers and provide insight to support commercial decision making, including supporting the management of the overall Group £9.4bn cost base.Assessing Group remediation programmes through collaboration with programme, legal, operations and finance teams, ensuring compliance with IAS 37 including appropriate disclosures in the external results.Presenting management reports to senior management, ensuring that results and issues are well understood and explained.Preparing external analysis for investors and analysts to assist their understanding of the Group and its performance.Working with and influencing Divisional and Central teams, providing guidance and direction.Driving improvements to the processes including control, automation and insight, as well as broader activities including Strategic Workforce Planning.Building and maintaining a successful team to ensure colleagues are led and developed effectively, utilising the Group's Your Best principles.Contributing to establishing a clear common purpose across the team of c.45 colleagues.About usWe're on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we're shaping finance for good. What you'll needQualified Accounting/Finance professional with consistent track record in financial analysis, demonstrating a strong understanding of commercial business drivers.Collaborator who can initiate and lead conversations to understand and challenge and thus advise on emerging issues and opportunities.Agility in delivering output including providing guidance and direction to others.Ability to develop a team of finance professionals: leading by example with a growth mindset; establishing objectives; and driving a performance management culture through excellent coachingBuilding strong working relationships across diverse partners, including senior management with a collaborative approach to delivery, but retaining willingness and ability to challengeConfidence and experience in presenting to senior audiences. And any experience of these would be really usefulBreadth of knowledge across the relevant businesses of Lloyds Banking Group and wider Financial Services industry, including understanding economic, regulatory and social trends.
