Head of Governance, Controls & Transformation Manchester or London – Hybrid workingFTC role for 6 months initially with possible extensionCompetitive Salary & benefitsAs part of DCC’s procurement transformation, we’re looking for a Head of Governance, Controls and Transformation who can lead and level up the effectiveness and quality of operational performance management in the In-Life Supplier Management (ISM) team, and influence how supplier governance works across Smart DCC. This position will shape and drive the ISM teams’ strategy and governance around business planning, process improvements and the is characterised by an attention to detail that leads the development, continuous improvement and management of ISM’s reporting and governance frameworks. What you’ll be doing: · Lead on all ISM business planning, including the design of effective, team-specific plans and strategies which bring visibility to current and future ISM pipeline activities, reporting as well financial budgeting· Leverage data and insights to identify opportunities for process improvement within the ISM function (evaluating opportunities and lessons learned on operational performance management mechanisms, ways of working and process improvements)· Responsible for the company-wide ISM communications covering Strategy, Governance and Risk, including regular reporting to key stakeholders such as the ExCo, Board, and regulatory bodies. This will involve developing and delivering presentations, reports, and other materials to provide clear and concise messaging· Lead on the strategic operational supplier governance approach which will ensure we are compliant with our contractual obligations, driving high quality and robust conversation across the supply chain and able to hold suppliers to account for the commitments they make to DCC· Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders to drive Continuous Improvement in Strategy, Governance and Risk Management across the ISM function· Enhance budgeting and forecasting processes by providing relevant business information and analysis, working closely with the Finance team to ensure that the ISM function's financial information is accurate and up to date· Lead on the ISM transformation, through supporting the development of the vision and strategy, collaborating with peers to effectively execute on the plans and transform the team into the future state design What we’re looking for:Leadership · Proven experience in setting goals and objectives that align with the wider business strategy, focusing on maintaining the service and producing high quality outputs· Robust experience in stakeholder management with suppliers and internal commercial functions to resolve issues, conflicts and drive benefits· Ability to synthesise and inform strategies whilst translating inputs into actionable plans· Experience in leading, managing and coaching diverse teams, establishing rapport and motivating the team to deliver the right results· Capable for coordinating, motivating and leading cross functional teams to drive to a single outcomeTechnical · Proven experience and excellent track record in leading Business Planning in the Energy, Technology or Telecommunication sectors· Ability to understand and enforce contractual obligations whilst balancing out the need to maintain and grow a strong relationship with suppliers using excellent stakeholder management skills· Strong ability to collaborate with internal and external teams ranging from suppliers and DCC functions (i.e. Commercial) to governmental stakeholders, to deliver positive outcomes, resolve issues and lead continuous improvement initiatives· Experience of driving improvements to enable efficiencies, drive behaviours to exceed contracted requirements· Exceptional analytical skills, with an eye for detail, but the ability to take complex data, synthesis it and engage audiences through a clear and concise narrative Interpersonal · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate effectively with junior and senior stakeholders· Ability to manage conflict and conflicting priorities across the organisation, showcasing a positive attitude and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment· Strong organisation skills, often juggling multiple priorities, with the ability to priorities create clarity and drive to outcomes · Outstanding leadership and influencing skills that have been developed in diverse and fast-moving environmentsAbout the DCC:At the DCC, we believe in making Britain more connected, so we can all lead smarter, greener lives.
