“Every day as head of fundraising and communications at Foothold presents unique opportunities. the next, you could be facilitating planning sessions with the team or presenting performance reports to our trustees.
Since Foothold embarked on proactively fundraising in 2020, we’ve seen the introduction of several new income streams and initiatives. These are ripe for further development, and a key aspect of this role will be building upon the existing foundations and elevating them to the next level.
Lead on strategic fundraising, marketing, brand and communications plans for Foothold.
Lead, manage and develop the fundraising & communications team.
Work as a member of the senior management team collaborating with colleagues to
Develop, implement, and monitor strategies and plans for fundraising, communications, brand, and marketing to achieve the organisational plan, and exceed targets and other KPls.
Lead and manage the fundraising & communications team monitoring work plans, providing regular supervision, conducting annual appraisals and personal development plans.
Work as an effective member of the Senior Management Team, deputising for the Chief Executive Officer as required.
Fundraising
Provide sustainable income across multiple streams (individual giving, legacies, corporate, trusts and foundations, trading, community, events etc) to ensure a wide mix is achieved in sources to meet agreed targets.
Research, identify and prioritise opportunities for fundraising as part of a review of the Fundraising Strategy.
Develop a fundraising culture among staff and volunteers so all stakeholders are aware of the importance of income generation in the future sustainability of the charity.
Lead on the development of the major donor programme, personally account managing a portfolio of major supporters to maximise relationships and income.
Oversee the donor development programme including donor impact reporting, ensuring supporters receive high quality feedback on the impact of their support.
Communications & marketing:
Ensure the development and implementation of engaging digital wellbeing content that meets the needs of the Foothold community to meet agreed targets and KPls.
