Head of Financial Reporting and Compliance *Hybrid Working

Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a well respected business in Sheffield as they look to bring in a new Head of Financial Reporting and Compliance into the team. This is a key role for the business and will be responsible for leading all aspects of the financial reporting and compliance whilst also having responsibility for the sales and purchase ledger functions.

- Starting salary of £63,000 - £69,000 (dependent on experience)

Duties will include 
- Day to day management of a team of 8 finance staff (Including transactional managers (AP/AR), Assistant Manager, Financial Accountant, Assistant Accountant and 3 X Finance Assistants)
- Training, development and mentoring of the team 
- Dealing with any recruitment needs within the team
- Production of financial accounts
- Preparation of the annual reports
- Preparation of financial Statements
- Treasury management
- Supporting with taxation and dealing with tax advisors
- Working closely with  a range of stakeholders across the business to provide expert advice and ensure compliance
- Working under internal and external financial regulations
- Acting as the lead contact for external stakeholders such as external audit, banks and HMRC
- Providing professional financial and accounting advice to support business decision making 

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experiences: - 
- ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA Qualified 
- Staff management experience 
- Previous experience of working in larger and more complex businesses 
- Good technical accounting knowledge 
- Good communication skills 
- Business partnering experience 
- Good IT skills
