Job DescriptionAs the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (Director, FP&A) you'll be a strategic business partner and key member of the UK and Ireland Finance Leadership Team. You will play a critical role in providing strategic and operational leadership to the Financial Planning Team and country organizations, supporting the Human Health business with a total gross revenue of approximately GBP 1.5Billion.You'll be accountable to lead and develop your own team to deliver on all Financial Planning & Analysis processes, management reporting, financial evaluations, and accounting components.In collaboration with the FP&A team, you will play a key role in aligning financial analysis and planning processes with the overall business objectives. You'll partner closely with the business to identify and capitalize on opportunities, as well as minimizing the risks.Your key responsibilities include performing detailed analysis of sales variances against assumptions, conducting scenario planning, providing strategic guidance on investment opportunities and growth areas, and calculating return on investment for strategic projects. To ensure effective collaboration, you will establish strong partnerships with local business units and departments, actively incorporating financial perspectives into the strategic and tactical decision-making processes. Furthermore, you will also be responsible for driving innovation in financial analysis by developing and implementing tools and techniques for financial planning, accounting, reporting, and performance evaluation. In addition, you will interact with several above market and regional Finance teams like the Business Service Center, Regional Planning, and Corporate AccountingIn this role you will:Lead the overall assessment of the portfolio risks and opportunities, challenging and validating business assumptions.Lead the planning team to deliver financial reports and analysis to ensure the business teams are tracking their performance.Monitor actual performance vs plan and recommend timely corrective actionsProvide senior management advice and recommendations on the financial and strategic components of investment decisionsPresent Financial Plans/Forecasts to local Senior Management, and Regional Management to clearly articulate the key messages and overall sensitivities in these forecastsReview and enhances Financial Evaluations and Analysis on key investment decisions to ensure financial goals and targets are met.Lead the overall assessment of the portfolio risks and opportunities.Ensure effective financial stewardship in their scope of workSupport the implementation of Finance and Business projectsEnsure efficient collaboration and process alignment with Shared Business Service and all Regional and Corporate Financial teamsContinuously challenge the status quo and provide innovative solutions to streamline processesProvide recommendations and guidance to improve Company efficiency through optimization of resource allocation and P&L managementActive involvement in pricing and reimbursement strategiesStrategic input and active involvement in Business development dealsDevelops talent in the Finance organizationTo be successful, you will need:University degree in Business Administration - Finance (MBA is an advantage)Qualified Chartered Account or management Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst, or similar qualification is an advantageExtensive Financial Planning experience (Finance Business Manager, Planning Director, equivalent roles)Experience in accounting (Assistant Controller, Controller, equivalent roles) is an advantage.People Management experienceAnalytically proficientFluent in EnglishSkills:Business acumen (e.g. knowledgeable in policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting the business)Capacity to negotiate and influence at all levels of the company and particularly with Senior Management including business partnersStrong business understanding and strategic thinking / holistic view / Enterprise approachData management: extract from multiple internal and external sources, synthesize and leverage into a coherent pictureData visualization techniques to illustrate and identify trends, inflection points, outliers, etc.Strong knowledge of SAP, BPC, LPT, and Office applicationsGood understanding of Power BIAbility to clearly communicate both orally and in writing.Strong compliance mind-set and experienceKnowledge of US GAAP and UK IFRSProactive and self-drivenCapacity to solve complex situations and take tough decisions.Strong leadership skills to guide the team and collaborate with business partners.Strong people management skillsWe are proud to be a company that embraces the value of bringing diverse, talented, and committed people together.
