Head of Finance

Job title: Head of FinancePackage: £60k+Location: Somerset (some hybrid working possible)Reporting to: Managing DirectorJob type: Full or Part TimeOur ClientOur client is a long established, family-run dairy business with an impressive set up and plans for considerable growth in the coming years. They are looking to develop their existing functionality with use of new technologies and need robust financial reporting and management to support this.They are looking to recruit a competent and empathetic Head of Finance to provide excellent reporting and detailed management accounts.Head of Finance- The RoleAs Head of Finance, you will work alongside the Managing Director to ensure that figures and forecasts are accurate and timely and enable key financial decisions to be made.Specifically, you will:Produce accurate and timely management accounts and financial reports;Develop financial models to support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow;Ensure compliance with accounting, regulatory and industry standards;Identify risks and implement strategies to mitigate them;Perform variance analysis to enable strategic decision-making;Monitor cash and prepare cash flow forecasts;Work empathetically alongside existing team and family members;Provide strong administrative support & manage output of a small team;Clearly communicate detailed financial information;Assist with ad hoc finance projects.The Successful ApplicantYou will ideally be a qualified accountant who has worked in a similar role in an SME or someone looking to move from practice with existing farming experience, who can bring ambition and enthusiasm to this exciting role.
