Head of Finance - reporting to the CFO

Morgan McKinley is proud to be working in partnership with a dynamic consultancy firm to recruit a Head of Finance.

As the Head of Finance you will be a commercially focused individual, able to influence at Board level. You be hands on with the purpose of focussing on ensuring the financial health and long-term value creation of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Business partner the senior leadership team with a specific steer towards growing EBITDA.
• Ensure a robust forecast is in place by monitoring and challenging the forecast as well as investigating variances through to conclusion.
• Provide reporting, analysis and insight to explain the underlying variances against budget and forecast.
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities.
• Provide direction to the Senior Leadership Teams to improve performance, support cost control and simplification.
• Build effective relationships with all members of the senior management team and develop a deep knowledge and understanding of the business.

Requirements:

• A fully qualified accountant ideally with sector experience across either professional services, telecoms or consultancy.
• Strong commercial finance background.
• A strong communicator who is comfortable challenging the status quo.
• Strong leadership and motivation of people.
• Able to interpret and communicate financial issues to non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to roll sleeves up and get into the detail when required.
• Business partner up to Board level
