Head of Finance

Our client is a locally established name in the legal sector and they are now looking for someone to join them as Head of Finance.This role will be integral in the continued development of the accounts department and be a key member of the SLT.Overseeing a team of seven, the role will be varied and duties will includeProducing statutory accounts in accordance with SRA regulationsBudgeting and forecasting and reviewing actuals vs budgets on an ongoing basisCollating and producing monthly management information for presentationOversight of and ensuring SAR compliance is maintained across the firmReviewing financial systems and implementing improvements as appropriatePartnering with stakeholders, providing advice and insight from a financial perspectiveEnsuring annual audit is completed on time and working closely with auditors as requiredAssisting with preparation of tendersOverseeing billing process and ensuring debtors are maintained inline with expectationsAd hoc project workThe successful candidate will have proven experience working in the legal sector and will have a solid understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules.Experience working in local government would also be a distinct advantage.Ideally a post-qualified accountant, candidates who are qualified by their experience and have with the right sector experience and ability, will also be considered.Advanced Excel skills are a must as experience of legal accounting software.Alongside a competitive salary, this role offers hybrid working, an excellent pension scheme, and the opportunity to have a voice in a firm that is going through very exciting times.Send your CV for immediate consideration.
