The Head of Finance role would suit a current School Head of Finance looking for a new challenge in a progressive school trust or a Finance professional with experience in the non-for-profit sector who is keen to secure a school-based role.Head of Finance / Large Academy Trust located Newham, East London / Starting September 2024- Competitive salary range of £50,000-£60,000 for a 36-hour workweek with flexible annual patterns.- Ensure high-quality financial management and reporting across the Trust.- Manage accounting functions: purchase ledger, sales ledger, and payroll.- Provide support and guidance to budget holders for consistency and compliance.- Develop and implement a 3-year financial plan with the Chief Financial Officer in Newham, East London.- Support the Trust's growth strategy, including financial due diligence and onboarding of new schools.- Liaise on contract reviews and maintain the Contracts Register.- Lead preparation of annual draft budget plans.- Monitor expenditure and income, ensuring adherence to DfE statutory guidelines and the Academies Financial Handbook.- Enhance internal audit controls.- Support preparation of bids or tender documents for additional funds or grants.- Act as a proactive leader and role model for the Trust's values.- Drive personal development aligned with the Trust's strategy.- Engage in professional development to maintain and improve knowledge and practice.If this Head of Finance job opportunity is of interest to you then ‘click’ apply or contact Ben at Ribbons & Reeves today!Ribbons & Reeves are London’s leading Education Recruiters.
