We are supporting a tech-based group with the recruitment of a brand-new role for one of their SME businesses on an exclusive basis.

The business is looking to grow fivefold over the next 2-3 years and are seeking a qualified and talented Head of Finance to drive the business forward by creating robust processes and ensuring financial reporting is provided accurately and in a timely manner.

They are seeking someone who is comfortable in a fast-paced sales business who ideally has some tech / telecoms experience or understanding (perhaps from audit).

Responsibilities:

• Monthly management accounts (P&L, BS, C Flow, commentary)
• Business KPIs / metrics
• VAT/PAYE reporting and compliance
• Budgeting and forecasting (P&L monthly)
• Revenue recognition and reporting
• Inventory reporting and controls
• Cash management oversight
• Business control environment
• Manage the Finance Assistant (remotely)

About you:

We’re seeking a qualified professional who offers experience within a SME environment and is seeking an opportunity to add value and be part of a fast-growing business.

The role will evolve so candidates should be adaptable and be excited by the opportunities to make significant improvements and changes and see the benefits of those.

The Finance Manager should be able to make an impact, put in new processes and deal with any legacy issues. This is a hands-on role, and candidates need to be comfortable managing upwards and dealing with senior shareholders within the business.

Candidates will ideally have experience of telecoms / tech and be inquisitive in nature.

Strong Excel skills are a must, as are good communication skills and candidates should be confident yet approachable.
