We are delighted to be working with an entrepreneurial education company who are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Head of Finance to join this reputable and rapidly growing company. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to take on a challenging role that offers both commercial and strategic financial management responsibilities.
Reporting into the CFO, this role will provide strategic and commercial financial management. As the Head of Finance, you will lead the finance function and ensure the embedding of acquisitions happens smoothly. You will also be responsible for producing timely and accurate monthly management accounts, attending SMT meetings, and providing insightful and appropriate financial insight.
The successful candidate will have multi-site experience and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will be a qualified accountant with senior management team experience and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be a team player and a problem solver with strong organisational, analytical, and technical skills.
Key responsibilities include:Providing commercial and strategic financial management, direction and leadershipProducing timely and accurate monthly management accounts and supporting board pack financial commentaryAssisting in the preparation of an annual budget and rolling 12-month forecastsSupporting the management team in commercial finance decisions as the business looks to growIdentifying and implementing financial systems improvements and integrationsIdentifying and reporting on KPIs, providing clear and accurate decision-making data to the management teamImplementing better financial processes and controls, and instilling a strong focus on cost control within the businessManaging and developing the finance teamEnsuring the financial integration of all UK-based acquisitionsEnsuring all transactional processing is completed accurately on a timely basisManaging relationships with auditors and other external advisors, including banks and taxation advisorsResponsibility for the accurate completion of the monthly payroll, and management of employee benefitsWhat is the client looking for….Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)Good interpersonal skills to be able to liaise with stakeholdersExperience of leading a teamStrong technical skillsWhat is on offer….Salary of between £80-85,000 (DOE)Health benefitsOpportunity to grow and develop the finance teamOther roles you may have applied for are Financial Controller, Finance Manager, Financial Accountant, Commercial AccountantThis role is based in Derby but commutable from Nottingham, Leicester and SheffieldCherry Professional are recruiting this role on behalf of our clientCherry Professional are recruiting for this opportunity on behalf of our client.
