This role will lead the Finance team and will deputise for the Director of Finance. The client is looking for a Head of Finance to step into the role, or a Finance Manager looking for their next stepDescriptionOversee and manage the Accounting & Finance department.Prepare monthly and annual management accountsPrepare annual financial statements and year end reporting packsEnsuring the organisation is tax compliantDevelop and implement financial strategies and systems.Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders.Comply with financial regulations and legislation.Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management.Monitor and manage budgets, forecasts, and expenditure.Coordinate the annual audit process.Foster a positive team environment and provide staff development opportunities.ProfileA successful Head of Finance should have:A full Accountancy Qualification (CIMA/ ACCA/ CIPFA/ ACA)Prepared financial and management accountsThe ability to manage staff Strong knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.Excellent financial analysis and forecasting abilities.Proficient in using financial software and systems.Job OfferA competitive salary of £53,000 per annum.Hybrid working arrangements to ensure a work-life balance.Membership in the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).Generous holiday allowance: 28 days plus 2 weeks Christmas closure and bank holidays.An inclusive and supportive culture.
