Job DescriptionLead and direct the Financial Reporting team (Financial Accounts, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury and Management Accounts), ensuring staff members feel valued and motivated and are well trained, supported and developed.Be the subject matter expert on all technical accounting matters, analysing new activities and significant transactions considering relevant accounting standards and applying these correctly; this includes - but is not limited to - overseeing the accounting for lease contracts in accordance with reporting standards and liaising with external advisors on topics such as hedges, pensions and taxes.Drive the cash management process by providing payment approvals, overseeing the preparation of regular short-term and longer-term cashflow forecasts within the immediate and wider teamContribute to the production of the periodic Management / Board report by providing accurate and timely balance sheet and cashflow information accompanied by insightful narrative based on variance analysis compared to Budget.Support the preparation of annual and future years budgets by providing robust and timely balance sheet and cashflowOwn the production and interpretation of the annual financial statements, support the parent company in the delivery of the consolidated financial statements and manage the statutory audit process as the main point of contact for external auditorsAs the main point of contact for internal audit, ensure a robust financial control environment with strong internal controls documented in relevant policies and procedures and continuously monitored for effectivenessChallenge existing ways of working and promote the continuous improvement of the wider financial accounting and reporting systems and processes to make them more efficient and robust The Successful ApplicantACA/ACCA/ICAS qualifiedBig 4/Top 10 trainedStrong leadership and team management skillsDemonstrable financial reporting and strategic planning abilities What's on Offer£80,000 - £90,000 basicCar allowanceBonusShare optionsContinuous developmentOpportunity to learn from a great Finance Director!Clear pathway to Finance Director
