Job summaryThe Finance department at Imperial College Healthcare NHS (ICHT) have recently approved a new structure . Due to expected timelines for permanent recruitment, we would like to offer a secondment opportunity for this role to initially cover the Head of Finance - Central Reporting role for the first 4 months whilst we await a confirmed start date for the substantive post holder.This secondment role will then evolve into providing support for other financial management tasks and the covering of gaps due to the timeline to recruit to new roles elsewhere in the structure.This is an opportunity for an individual willing to further their financial management experience, or for someone looking to develop some experience in a larger Trust, within financial management. The post is suitable for CCAB qualified with significant post qualification experience. We would be looking for someone with well rounded knowledge of NHS finance and who has previously led and managed a successful team.Planned interview date: w/c 20 May 2024Main duties of the jobThis role will support the internal and external reporting requirements of the Trust working with all areas of finance to ensure returns and reports are comprehensive, accurate and aid the decision making of the organisation. This will involve coordinating the month end process for the financial management team, setting the timetable and ensuring consistency in approach.There will be a responsibility for consolidation of the finance report for internal reporting to Board level, and will include managing the timetable with other teams, presenting the financial information in a way that aids the decision making of the organisation and it consistent across teams.The post holder will be the key contact for external submissions and any queries arising therein.The post holder will coordinate the in-year budget setting process, defining and setting the timetable, providing quality assurance on divisional plans and working with the financial management teams to ensure consistency across the organisation.About usAt Imperial College Healthcare you can achieve extraordinary things with extraordinary people, working with leading clinicians pushing boundaries in patient care.
