St. Johnstone FC is dedicated to upholding the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and community engagement, constantly striving to compete at the highest level of Scottish football while also being a positive force in the local community.As the Head of Finance and Administration, you will play a crucial role in the strategic management of the club's financial resources and administrative operations. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and implementing effective administrative processes to support our club's mission and objectives.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute financial strategies to support the club's short-term and long-term goals.Manage the club's budgeting, forecasting, management accounts and cashflow reporting processes.Implement financial controls and procedures to safeguard assets and mitigate risks.Coordinate the preparation of VAT returns, company secretarial filings, and other regulatory filings.Oversee payroll administration, supplier management, and oversee external HR and IT specialists.Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.Provide strategic insights and recommendations to optimise financial performance and resource allocation.Supervise the administrative team and ensure efficient operation of office procedures and systems.Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional initiatives and projects.Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory developments to inform decision-making.You will ideally be in possession of your full accounting qualification, such as ACCA, CA, CIMA or equivalent, although due consideration will be afforded to those qualified by experience.
