As a senior member of the Financial Management Team your role is to effectively contribute to the financial management of NHS Fife.This key role will:• Effectively contribute to the corporate management of NHS Fife through the application of an agreed financial strategy which delivers NHS Fife’s strategic objectives• Plan, lead and support the HSCP Business Partnering Team (4 Finance Business Partner posts) - outward focus - to provide reliable financial information and analysis for management, planning and control purposes to allow the fulfilment of statutory and regulatory responsibilities• Provide strong, credible leadership to the NHS Fife large scale programme change agenda in support of balanced financial planning, strongly linked to improved patient care, and robustly demonstrate the financial value of quality improvement• Actively participate in business management teams; and to challenge and influence business decisions, business strategy and business outcomes, to deliver extraordinary business value• Provide high quality financial support including standard and bespoke information to inform decision-making to allow effective and efficient management, allocation and application of resources• Provide added value management reporting, insight to drive performance; and challenge and advise the businessSkills & Experience• Qualified CCAB or CIMA Accountant with previous success in a finance / business partnering role; or significant demonstrable qualifying experience• Educated to degree level and continued professional development• Relevant experience within a complex organisation with demonstrable experience in a management accounting/financial management role. • Knowledge and understanding of national health policy and the impact on financial planning and control.• Wider financial reporting, control and process experience desirable• Health Care Industry experience preferable• Excellent Excel modelling, Power Point and general IT skills• Ability to present financial information to a diverse, non-financial audiencePlease direct any informal queries to Rose Robertson, Assistant Director of Finance, on ##### a first class working culture, where your contribution is valued, and you can help us deliver our mission: Transforming health and care in Fife to be the best.NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
